Test - can you work as a realtor

Successful realtors earn several average salaries in their city per month. They drive expensive cars and vacation abroad several times a year. That is why new people are constantly entering the real estate industry. Only not everyone succeeds.

All realtors have worked in other areas at one time. These are former office workers, lawyers, doctors, teachers, soldiers, etc. After all, realtors are not trained in universities! Officially, such a profession still does not exist, although in recent years the trend has been reversed.

Even 10 years ago, anyone could go to work as a realtor, and with a high probability that he would succeed.
But today the time of semi-legal offices and black brokers is over. It is not enough to be just an intermediary nowadays - all processes for real estate transactions have become simpler, and information is becoming more accessible. Now a realtor is required to have a number of skills and personal qualities.

For 7 years in real estate, I have had to interact with hundreds of real estate agents. I am familiar with the real sharks of the real estate business. In addition, more than once I have seen both ups and downs - that is, setbacks among newcomers. Also, in my real estate agency "Altera" in Kazan, we accept trainees-realtors, conduct training, and therefore we have the opportunity to observe every day to analyze which people are successful and which are not.

So, could you be a good realtor?
I propose to answer a number of questions. If you answered yes to at least 7 out of 10 questions, your chances of being successful in real estate sales are quite high!

1. You have a large social circle

You are still in contact with former neighbors, classmates, fellow students, and colleagues in your first job.

Why is it important for a future realtor? A realtor is a person of connections! If he has a small social circle, then the first clients (and subsequent ones) will be obtained with great difficulty.

2. You make new acquaintances easily

Wherever you appear - everywhere you have new "people" and friends. You shouldn't bother asking a stranger with a question or request.

The fact is that a realtor has meetings with different people every day. Moreover, he himself often has to be the initiator of these meetings. That is, assign them. If it is morally difficult for a person to constantly communicate with different people, then it will be difficult to succeed in the sale of real estate.

3. You are genuinely interested in other people.

As I wrote above, once at the dawn of the real estate market, the realtor was required to be quick and be able to hang people on their ears. Other qualities are important today. Therefore, it is important to be able to listen and hear. Find out thoroughly the wishes of a person, learning the details of his life and life, habits and preferences. As well as fears, pains and weaknesses.

4. People trust you

And not only gossip about neighbors in the country, but their innermost secrets. And in general they trust. For example, when you know for sure that there are people in your environment who are ready to lend you a large amount of money without a receipt. When you are often assigned serious tasks that require responsibility.

By the way, about responsibility!

5. You can be called a responsible person

You are rarely late. And I have never heard accusations against you that you let someone down or did not keep your promise. Rather, on the contrary, you are punctual and always aware of the responsibility for your actions.

Why will it not be easy for people of a different warehouse to make friends with real estate? Real estate is about serious business and millions of dollars in transactions. Each of the current transactions of a realtor is someone's destiny. After all, people move one or more times in their lives.

6. You are easily learner

Let's get here in order.

What is learnability?

This is not about those people who go to trainings all their lives, read books, listen to seminars ... and all this fascinates them so much that they do not have time to apply the knowledge they have gained and are marking time.
Learnability is when you have a healthy dose of enthusiasm for new information. When you are really interested in everything new and you do not have the habit of listening to everyone from the position of "I already know everything!" And you do not forget to apply the acquired knowledge in practice, thereby improving your life!

In real estate activity, after all, every day there is something new again. It will not work here not to study, competitors will bypass!

7. You are brave

Why should a realtor be bold? Just think:

Initially, the realtor goes through a difficult stage of adaptation. He has to constantly meet new people and sell his services. At the same time, there is no certainty that tomorrow there will be a deal and money in the wallet. Then he needs to sell the "product" - that is, real estate. Again competition, again to work and work, without a guarantee that they will buy tomorrow. The really brave survive here! They overcome all difficulties, learn to create a stream of customers for themselves and skillfully work with sellers and buyers!

8. You are an optimist!

For the same reason as the point above, it is important for a realtor to believe in the best.

Remember - do not buy from sad people!
They don't buy from whiners either!

9. You believe that everything depends on you.
